It’s been a long road back to the NFL for Redskins defensive tackle Phil Taylor. A former first round pick of the Cleveland Browns, Taylor hasn’t played a regular season game in the NFL for almost three years, due mostly to injuries.
Taylor was on the field over the weekend vs. the Packers and managed to collect his first sack (preseason or otherwise) since 2013.
Taylor joined the crew of “Good Morning Football” on NFL Network today, and was asked by host Kyle Brandt which NFC East quarterback he’d most like to bring down.
“I’m going to have to go with Dak,” Taylor said. “Just being a life-long Redskins fan, not liking the Cowboys, I’m going to have to go with Dak.”
Taylor will get his first chance to bring down the reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year when the Cowboys travel to FedExField on October 29th for their week 8 match-up. That October 29th game is also supposed to be the return of Ezekiel Elliott, pending a reduction of his suspension.
