There was a time when a Redskins player praising a Cowboys player was absolutely unheard of, but when you have as impressive a rookie campaign as Dak Prescott, sometimes all rivals can do is tip their cap.
NFL Network has been releasing the annual NFL Top 100 list in piecemeal over the last several weeks. On Monday, Prescott was ranked as the 14th best player in the league by his NFL peers, and the fifth best quarterback behind Derek Carr, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, and Tom Brady.
During Prescott’s segment, Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins couldn’t help but heap praise on the Cowboys signal-caller.
“When I look back to where I was as a rookie, and if I had had to play for the entire season, where I would have been, it’s that much more impressive,” Cousins, a fellow 4th round selection, says. “He’s doing it all. He’s throwing the ball down the field, he’s throwing with accuracy.”
