Adieu: Tony Romo says goodbye to Cowboys Nation

We all saw it coming, but it doesn’t lessen the blow to the gut.

Tony Romo took to Twitter in the form of a video on Thursday afternoon, making his first post on the micro-blogging website in almost eight months.

In the video below, Romo thanks Cowboys fans for the outpouring of support he and his family have received in recent days.

As of 3pm Central on Thursday, the Cowboys still had yet to release Romo. ESPN’s Christ Mortenson reported that the Cowboys had reversed course and were instead going to attempt to trade Romo to Denver or Houston.

  1. I remember a few QB’s coming in that did awsome the first year and totaly stunk afterwards. How will the Cowboys feel knowing we gave up Romo just for a one hit wonder. Yes Dax did great his fist year. But so did Nick Foles. I dont think they made the right decision by handing over the team just like that. I hope im wrong.
